The Washington Commanders just gave fans their first real look at the future, and it’s a moonshot aimed straight at the heart of the District.
The team and global design firm HKS unveiled the first conceptual renderings of a massive, $3.7 billion, roofed, next-generation stadium planned for the former RFK Stadium site, authorities announced.
If built as envisioned, the stadium would seat more than 70,000 fans, host year-round events, and anchor a sweeping redevelopment of the RFK campus, turning one of the city’s most historic sports sites into a modern football-forward destination.

New Series Filming Upcoming Season In Sparkill: Here's When, Where
Scenes for an upcoming television series are set to be filmed in parts of Rockland County later this month.
The shoot is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., and will take place in Sparkill, according to the Town of Orangetown.
Carmel Reilly, Orangetown’s Director of Economic Development and Tourism, said the production is “a new series, in its second season.” She added she preferred not to identify the show to avoid disruptions.

New York Lieutenant Gov. Antonio Delgado is making a bold move: running against his boss.
Delgado, 48, announced Monday, June 2, that he will challenge Gov. Kathy Hochul in the 2026 Democratic primary, saying it’s time for “bold, decisive, transformational leadership” in Albany.
“Let’s not drop the ball on figuring out what it is we’re fighting for,” Delgado said in his campaign launch video, posted on X. “The powerful and well-connected have their champions. I’m running for governor to be yours.”

Several Northeast states are among the most educated in the US, excelling in school quality, college attainment, and overall academic achievement, a new study said.
Massachusetts was ranked as the country's most-educated state, according to a WalletHub study released on Monday, Feb. 10. Maryland was second, followed by Vermont, Colorado, and Connecticut in the top five.
The study analyzed all 50 states using 18 factors, including educational attainment, quality, and achievement gaps.

This may be Nick Simmons' first political race, but he is not a newcomer to politics.
The State Senate District 36 candidate, brother to Stamford Mayor Carolyn Simmons, was born and raised in Greenwich and now calls Stamford home.
