A former corrections officer at SCI Forest has admitted to assaulting two fellow officers during hazing incidents inside the prison, Attorney General Dave Sunday announced on Thursday, March 19.
Garrett Smead, 29, of Warren, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to two counts each of indecent assault, indecent exposure, unlawful restraint, and related offenses, according to the release. A sentencing date has not been set.

An ambulance slammed into a Mount Holly home Thursday afternoon, July 3, injuring four people, officials said.
The crash happened around 3:36 p.m. on the 900 block of Woodlane Road, according to Police Chief Clifford Spencer. Two vehicles were involved, and the ambulance ended up hitting a residential property, he said.
Four people were hurt: a person inside the home, the ambulance driver, an EMT treating a patient, and the patient, according to Spencer. All injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, he said.

Two people were injured after a tree fell onto their vehicles during a crash on Route 9 in Westchester, fire officials said.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, May 27, on the northbound side of Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson, when emergency responders were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a tree down on a vehicle, the village's fire department said on Thursday evening, May 29.

Hit-run: Snow Plow Side-Swipes Ambulance In Lititz, Police Say
A snow plow truck side-swiped an ambulance in a hit-and-run crash on East Main Street in Lititz, causing damage to the vehicle, police announced on Friday, Jan. 24.
The collision occurred at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, as the ambulance attempted to pull off the road to allow the plow truck more room to pass, according to the Lititz Borough Police Department.
