A driver was able to escape a vehicle that caught fire dangerously close to a residence after a rollover crash in Putnam County on Wednesday morning, Dec. 17. According to the Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Putnam Valley Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 7:54 a.m. on Wednesday to a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash on Peekskill Hollow Road. Toddler Struck Dead By Pickup In Mount Sinai Driveway: Police
A toddler was killed when a pickup truck struck in a driveway on Saturday, Dec. 6, police said. The child was hit by a Ram 1500 in the driveway of a home on Maureen Drive in Mount Sinai at 12:42 p.m, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. The toddler’s 44-year-old mother and 43-year-old father were on scene when the crash happened. A late-night crash on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge left one car overturned and another spun into oncoming traffic, fire officials said. Support is on the rise for the family of a 41-year-old man killed in a crash on Route 80 last week. A GoFundMe has raised more than $17,000 for the family of Michael Murphy, as of Sunday, Nov. 23. State Police said the crash happened at 5:25 a.m., when a Toyota sedan operated by Murphy was traveling eastbound and struck the back of a disabled Autocar garbage truck in Roxbury Township on Friday, Nov. 21. One person was extricated from a vehicle that overturned early Thursday, Nov. 20 on Route 4, sources confirmed. The multi-vehicle happened sometime around 7:40 a.m., in the westbound lanes near Wilson Avenue. Responders arrived to find a person trapped inside the overturned vehicle. As of 10:11 a.m., a downed pole was reported on NJ 208 northbound near Goffle Road, with the right lane and shoulder closed. Traffic backups were reported into Glen Rock as crews worked to clear the scene and stabilize the area. Woman Killed After Tree Falls On Car In Philadelphia: Officials
A woman was killed after a tree fell on her vehicle in Philadelphia on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, police said. The crash happened along the 3700 block of West School House Lane when a 2016 silver Ford Mustang traveling westbound was struck by a falling tree at 11:53 a.m., according to police. Philadelphia Fire Department medics responded to the scene, where the 44-year-old driver was pronounced dead at 12:23 p.m. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and the Crash Investigation Division is handling the case.
